Self Portrait
While my Bachelor’s of Fine Arts work was mostly sculptural, my Masters of Fine Arts work was focused on social consciousness, identity, and found objects. This was a project I worked on that allowed me to reclaim, reinterpret, and revision my own self image.

Placenta & Umbilical Cords
My work with umbilical cords and placenta comes from the connection with my birth mother, who I never knew. This has continued to evolve, both in form and meaning, going from 2D to 3D, which has coincided with an ever-evolving understanding of my own connection to moms, motherhood, and the amazing female body.
Beauty in a Vital Organ
There is beauty and connection within these organs that can be viewed as ugly and purely functional, yet how can such a vital function of life be seen as anything but beautiful and majestic. There can be an imprint in this body material that is shed after birth - a beauty in something that ends up being thrown out all too often.
